#1. GREASE
I will die on this hill. JOHN TRAVOLTA…come on now. AND Olivia Newton-John?? Rest in peace btw. What an iconic movie. I don’t even like musicals, but this one. Absolutely. Catch me singing in the shower. My fiancé gets tired of seeing it…even when I give him a break. What a LOSER.
#2. DIRTY DANCING
I like a classic…what can I say. The actors? Top tier. (Also, rest in peace to Patrick Swayze.) The dancing? Amazing. The soundtrack? Perfect. Play Love is Strange and I WILL come running. And ummmm…I wouldn’t want to put in a corner either. Good thing I have a cool dad.
#3. SUICIDE SQUAD
I don’t even have an answer for this one. I just love this movie. Is it because of Will Smith? That is possible. Margot Robbie? Also possible. Jared Leto? That’s just a yes. (30 Seconds to Mars anyone?) Is he the best Joker?? Absolutely not. Is he still beautiful? Duh. Also…an amazing soundtrack again.
#4. RIO
Seriously one of the best movies ever. Once again…this SOUNDTRACK. SLAPS. I’m also a huge fan of Jamie Foxx so that might have something to do with it. But, Hot Wings will be played at my wedding and that is no joke. I wanna party AND samba.
#5. The Lorax
I had trouble between this and Rio…this is still a TOP TIER MOVIE. I LOVE cartoons and I am not ashamed. An orange creature with a funny mustache, a funny personality, and he’s trying to preserve the trees? Sign me up. Dr. Suess knew what was up.
#6. Grown Ups (honestly both of them.)
How could you not love this movie? It is absolutely hilarious. Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider…definitely starting five. If you don’t cry laughing while watching this movie…there might be something wrong with you…
#7. The Shack
Ok this one is a major tear jerker. My mom finally convinced me to watch it because let’s be honest…most Christian movies have TERRIBLE acting. But The Shack?? Oh. My. Gosh. I think I cried for longer than the actual movie. It is BEAUTIFUL.
#8. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
And yet another absolute tear jerker…baby Rocket? I’m crying while typing this. What a storylineeee oh my goshhhhh. Plus Chris Pratt is an icon so I mean…cmon now. There was not a single moment my eyes were not glued to the screen. Cinematic masterpiece.
#9. O Brother, Where Art Thou
I am so glad my parents forced me to watch this cause honestly “O Brother, Where Art Thou” did not sound like an enjoyable movie. SUCH A FUNNY MOVIE. Fugitives turned musical geniuses? The Soggy Bottom Boys did not come to play. If you haven’t watched this movie…I highly recommend. It literally has George Clooney in it…
#10. White Chicks
What an absolute banger of a movie. How could you NOT love this movie?? The Wayans brothers are comedy GOLD. And Shawn Wayans…that man is funny AND fine. What a combo. I will never NOT laugh while watching this movie. And let’s not forget Terry Crews’ phenomenal acting…that man is ALSO iconic.
